Good Luck Cougars!

🍎🥩🥦 Fueling Life with Biochemistry!
Our Biology and Anatomy & Physiology students took science from the textbook to the table by planning and preparing meals packed with the four essential macromolecules—carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids. They didn’t just cook—they explained to a panel of judges how each nutrient powers the body: from giving us energy 🔋, to building muscles 💪, storing fuel, and keeping our cells functioning every single day.
And the best part? After presenting, they got to taste and savor their creations—proving that learning can be both brain food and real food!
👩🍳👨🔬 Science never tasted this good!

Grade 7 Cracked the Code of Cell Transport… and Shared It! 🥚
Our Grade 7 scientists turned a raw egg into a living lesson on cell transport — and then brought the magic of science to our Preschool, Grade 1, and Grade 2 friends! 💙
First, they soaked the raw egg in vinegar to dissolve the shell — leaving behind a “naked egg” with just its membrane. The egg swelled up, showing how molecules can move into the cell.
Next came the corn syrup test 🍯 — the egg shriveled as water rushed out, proving that big sugar molecules can’t squeeze through the membrane.
Finally, the egg took a colorful dip in dyed water 💧, expanding even more than before as water molecules rushed back inside!
Through swelling ➡️ shrinking ➡️ swelling again, our Grade 7 students made osmosis and cell transport come alive! And the best part? They confidently explained every step to the little ones, inspiring the next generation of curious scientists.

Hollywood Nights, Homecoming Lights

🔥 Grade 8 Scientists on Fire! 🔥
Our young chemists just proved science in action! First, they tested the Law of Conservation of Mass by reacting acetic acid + sodium bicarbonate in a closed system. Even with all the fizz and bubbles, the mass stayed the same—showing that matter can change form, but it’s never lost.
Then, things heated up with the Fire Bubbles Demo! 🔥 A safe and exciting experiment for students, it perfectly showed combustion, an exothermic reaction where ethyl alcohol reacts with oxygen:
👉 C2H5OH+3O2⟶2CO2+3H2O
The flames were spectacular—but completely safe—demonstrating how energy is released when chemical bonds break and new ones form.
Proud of our Grade 8 students for proving the laws of chemistry and bringing reactions to life! Keep experimenting, keep exploring, and keep shining!
