Our Raider Robotics team got to share a team dinner while participating in a webinar with other First Lego League teams across the state. We got to listen to a panel of archaeologists talk about the work that they do and the problems they face. Teams took lots of notes that we will use as we develop our innovation projects for competition!

Science made sweet! 🍭
Our Grade 7 students wowed us with their Cell Jello Project—creating edible models of plant and animal cells using jello and candies to represent organelles.
Not only did they show off their creativity, but they also proved that learning science can be hands-on, fun, and delicious!
So proud of our young scientists—keep exploring, imagining, and shining!

Our Anatomy & Physiology students stepped into the shoes of real surgeons through an exciting clinical scenario simulation. From dramatic cases like epidural hematomas to life-threatening heart attacks, they crafted their own medical stories and then took on the challenge of solving them! Using their knowledge of anatomical and directional terms, they pinpointed exactly where the problem was, identified the body cavity or plane involved, and explained how imaging techniques could guide the diagnosis. But they didn’t stop there—they also described how the condition could be operated on and treated, just like professionals in the OR.
The result? A hands-on, creative, and unforgettable way to learn that made science come alive. These future healthcare heroes are learning to think, act, and problem-solve like real surgeons!
👩⚕️👨⚕️ Who’s ready to scrub in for the next case?

HS Boys Golf at Sterling today... Varsity will be at Sky Ranch and JV will be at River View both starting at 9:00. Go Cougars!

Grade 7 students became real scientists today! They prepared their very own cheek cell slides, placed them under the compound light microscope, and discovered a whole new world up close. From spotting the nucleus to identifying the cytoplasm and cell membrane, they didn’t just learn about cells—they saw them with their own eyes!
Hands-on, exciting, and full of “wow” moments—this is science that comes to life!

School Picture Day is Coming!
In our Biology class, students don’t just memorize facts—they tackle real-world problems! Through the project “The Many Faces of Biology: Exploring Life Through Its Branches,” students discovered how different fields of Biology work together to solve issues that impact the world.
Highlights include:
Investigating skin cancer through ecology, botany, and zoology.
Exploring climate change and its effects on animals, plants, and ecosystems.
Studying food security by linking genetics, botany, and entomology.
Understanding Alzheimer’s disease through physiology, genetics, and biochemistry.
Protecting endangered species by applying ecology, zoology, and genetics.
This project isn’t just about learning—it’s about creativity, teamwork, and making a difference. Students experienced firsthand how Biology can solve real problems, spark curiosity, and inspire innovation.
It’s amazing what you can discover when you explore the world around you and apply your knowledge to real-life challenges!

Our Physics class recently took on an exciting challenge: designing and analyzing real-world movement scenarios using resultant vectors! Instead of just arrows on a board, students explored how motion works in real life.
One group tracked the route of an Amazon delivery truck, plotting every turn and displacement to figure out the most efficient direct path. Another group imagined a rescue mission for someone trapped in a cave, mapping rescuers’ movements across tricky terrains to find the shortest route to save a life.
To identify the resultant vectors, students applied graphical, analytical, and component methods, combining diagrams, calculations, and vector breakdowns. Through this hands-on activity, they discovered that vectors aren’t just for textbooks—they’re practical tools that can solve real problems in logistics, navigation, and emergency planning.
Physics isn’t just equations—it’s a superpower to visualize, calculate, and navigate the world around you. Grab your compass, notebook, and curiosity… and start mapping your own adventures!
